Sales Executive - Internal

MAIN DUTIES:

As a sales executive your job primarily is to sell our company’s products.  You are also responsible for finding and winning new customers as well as maintaining and growing existing customer accounts.  

The day to day tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Email enquiries
  • Telephone enquiries
  • Live website enquiries
  • Export enquiries
  • Quoting customers
  • Quotation follow up
  • Pro-active sales calls
  • Establishing new business
  • Keeping customers fully informed from quotation through to delivery
  • Demonstrating and presenting products in the showroom
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Attending trade exhibitions when required
  • Reviewing sales performance
  • Meeting monthly and annual sales targets
 

KEY SKILLS:

  • Experience of working within a similar role essential
  • Excellent communications and customer service skills over the phone and face to face
  • Excellent organisational and all round admin skills  
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a busy team
  • A proficient multi-tasker
  • A knowledge of Salespad would be advantageous
  • Motivation and drive to hit sales targets
 

SUMMARY:

The main impact of this position will be closing deals and providing a high level of customer service throughout the sales process. The candidate will deal with customers over the phone, email and face to face. In this position, they will be both customer and supplier facing and must have good communication and organisation skills. They will be responsible for continuing to ensure the sales growth of the company.

The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills and show keen attention to detail. They should be confident answering the phone and dealing with requests from suppliers, customers, and colleagues. They will need to be a team player and support the team by providing the expected level of customer service. They need to be computer literate and have an ability to pick up new skills quickly. They should show an interest in learning new computer skills. They have to be able to perform under pressure.
